These terms are an agreement between you and Dot Logics Ltd (Mansion House, Manchester Road, Altrincham, Cheshire, England, WA14 4RW) covering your use of the Duo Fit app and website. By creating an account or using Duo Fit, you accept them.
Health and safety
Duo Fit is a logbook, not a coach. It records what you tell it and shows it back to you. It does not assess your technique, your recovery, or whether a given weight is safe for you on a given day.
- Duo Fit does not provide medical advice. Nothing in the app is a substitute for guidance from a doctor, physiotherapist or qualified coach.
- Talk to a healthcare professional before starting or significantly changing a training programme, particularly if you have an injury, a health condition, or are pregnant.
- Previous bests and history shown in the app are a record of what you did before. They are not a recommendation of what to lift next.
- You train at your own risk. You are responsible for your own technique, your equipment, your warm-up, and for using a spotter or safety bars where appropriate.
- Stop and seek medical attention if you feel pain, dizziness or faintness.
Your account
- You must be at least 13 years old to use Duo Fit.
- Give accurate registration details and keep them current.
- Keep your password secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you think it has been compromised.
- One account per person. Do not share your login.
Training partners and guest profiles
Duo Fit lets you create a guest profile so someone without an account can train with you and have their sets recorded separately.
Only create a guest profile for someone who has agreed to it. You are responsible for having that person's permission before you record their name, any contact detail, or their training data. Do not use guest profiles to record information about someone without their knowledge.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use Duo Fit for anything unlawful, or to harass or impersonate anyone.
- Attempt to access accounts, data or systems you are not authorised to access.
- Probe, scan, overload or otherwise interfere with the service or its infrastructure.
- Scrape, copy or redistribute the service's content other than your own data.
- Reverse engineer the app except where the law expressly permits it.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that break these terms.
Your data
Your workout data is yours. We claim no ownership of it, and we do not sell it. How we handle personal data is set out in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
You can delete your account and all of its data at any time from Profile → Delete Account. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
Availability
We aim to keep Duo Fit running, but it is provided as is and as available. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service, and we may change, suspend or withdraw features.
Duo Fit needs an internet connection to sync. We are not responsible for data that fails to save because of connectivity problems, though we do our best to make the app resilient to them.
Keep your own record of anything you cannot afford to lose. We take backups, but we do not guarantee recovery of lost data.
Liability
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law.
Subject to that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of data, or loss of profit arising from your use of Duo Fit. Where we are liable, our total liability is limited to the greater of the amount you have paid us in the previous twelve months, or £50.
If you are a consumer, you have statutory rights that these terms do not affect.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed, and we will tell you in the app or by email before any significant change takes effect. Continuing to use Duo Fit after a change means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of its courts.
